Description

This event is part of the Composer’s Kitchen project.

This annual workshop gives Bozzini Quartet the opportunity to create ties with up and coming composers who get a chance to hone their art with professional performers.

April 24 to April 30, 2011

This unique event revolving around the string quartet is a combination workshop, laboratory, playground, and master class. Over the course of a week, the Bozzini Quartet and two experienced composers will observe the work of six up-and-coming composers. Their compositions will be read, played, assessed, analyzed, worked on, played again, and performed in the closing concert. This gives young composers a unique opportunity to perfect their craft with professional musicians.
